Burial Arrangement

Picture
While discussing all the other arrangements, your funeral arranger will guide you through the process of choosing a suitable burial place and complete the necessary documentation on your behalf.

Not all civic cemeteries have space for new graves and the links below will give you an idea of what is available. Some Churchyards may still have spaces available but these are usually reserved for parishioners.

New graves are available at:

  • Widney Manor Cemetery
  • Woodlands Cemetery
  • Kings Norton Cemetery
  • Sutton New Hall Cemetery
  • Quinton Cemetery
  • Handsworth Cemetery
  • Oscott College Cemetery

These cemeteries do not have new graves available but you may be able to use a grave you or your family already have;

  • Yardley Cemetery
  • Witton Cemetery
  • Robin Hood Cemetery
  • Brandwood End Cemetery
  • Lodge Hill Cemetery
  • Sutton Coldfield Cemetery

For those who may prefer a more natural surrounding for their loved one a woodland burial is worth considering. The main difference is that no permanent memorial is allowed on the grave, usually just a simple wooden plaque. Each burial ground is slightly different throughout the country in how they operate and what, if any, memorialisation they allow on the grave. The closest woodland burial ground to us here is Westall Park in Redditch. Have a look at their website for more information.
